CSG hosts official opening of new Sevenoaks Waste Transfer Station

On Wednesday September 4th Commercial Services Group, in partnership with Kent County Council (KCC) hosted a memorable event to celebrate the launch of the brand-new Sevenoaks Waste Transfer Station, attended by councillors and community leaders across Kent.

Located conveniently next to the Dunbrik Household Waste Recycling Centre, the new station was unveiled with a guided tour, showcasing the impressive 1.1 hectare site, five times larger than the previous facility. The event concluded with Councillor Brian Sweetland cutting the ribbon and unveiling the commemorative plaque, followed by coffee, cake, and personalised goody bags for guests.

Rob Thomas, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “I am thrilled that we are opening the new Sevenoaks Waste Transfer Station. The facility is an impressive structure, allowing for more waste to be sustainably disposed of and ensuring nothing is wasted. KCC will continue to work with Sevenoaks District Council, Commercial Services Group and Darenth River Ballast to ensure that the operation of this new site is successful.”

It was a brilliant day of celebration, education, and community spirit, marking the result of months of hard work to bring this project to life.
